Description
Bialetti is an Italian brand known for its iconic stovetop coffee maker, often referred to as a “Moka pot” or “Bialetti Moka Express.” The Bialetti Moka pot was invented by Alfonso Bialetti in 1933, and it has since become a classic way to brew coffee in Italian households and worldwide.
The Moka pot consists of three main parts:
- Bottom chamber: Holds water.
- Filter basket: Contains ground coffee.
- Top chamber: Collects the brewed coffee.
When the pot is heated, the water in the bottom chamber boils and generates steam pressure, forcing the water up through the coffee grounds and into the top chamber, producing a rich, espresso-like coffee.
